Security considerations :
MF4 is a binary file format for storing measurement data and meta data, only. It does not contain executable content that can modify files or other resources on the host system. MF4 data blocks can be compressed using the deflate ZIP algorithm, so the security considerations for application/gzip in RFC 6713 also apply to this media type. The MF4 format does not provide privacy or integrity protection.
