This document describes the Internationalized Domain Names (IDN) Character Table to be used by MuseDoma in the .MUSEUM TLD registry for the registration of .MUSEUM domains in the Norwegian language. The policies for the application of this table are described in detail in the Policy Document referenced above and are in compliance with the ICANN Guidelines for the Implementation of Internationalized Domain Names. The present document is intended for publication in the IANA IDN Character Table Registry.

The following table uses the convention U+XXXX to denote a Unicode codepoint, and XXXX..YYYY for a continuous range of codepoints. The first column in each row indicates the code point for an accepted character or range of characters that may be used for IDN registration in the Norwegian language. The second column names the designated characters. This table states the character repertoire necessary for representing the two official forms of the written Norwegian language, "Bokmål" (Dano-Norwegian) and "Nynorsk" (New Norwegian), according to current lexicographic practice.
