Autonomous system number registry format updates ...

The five Regional Internet Registries and the IANA have cooperated to provide an update to the IANA Autonomous System (AS) Numbers Registry. The updated registry keeps the same format but includes more detailed and accurate information about the whois servers providing registration information for individual AS Numbers. In addition to the current format, the AS Numbers registry will be made available in XML during July.

An example of the registry with XML as the source has been published as a demonstration to the community. The temporary URL will work until the production launch of IANA's XML registries, at which time it will no longer function. You should not encode this URL in any enduring location, such as in computer software.
